Panties on the Way
Today I think the panties will arrive. They are the smallest size you can get, for my 2-year old, to help motivate her to use the potty instead of a diaper. I went to Target at the Atlantic Center but didn't find any tiny panties there. My mom was kind enough to track some down in Rhode Island at the Children's Place. Nora will probably be more delighted to wear them on her head than on her butt, that seems to be her philosophy of panty wearing so far. It's good that she has the flexibilty of mind that comes from having loosely connected neurons in her brain. It would be nice to tighten up a few neural networks without sacrificing her wackiness, but I guess there's a time and place for everything.
Last night went to Cake Shop on Ludlow street for Jeff Gramm's birthday. When we got there, John Lindaman (True Love Always, The Instruments, Teenbeat) was already playing so we only got to hear the last two songs. He was on fire last night, that's what people who heard more of the set told me. He was so hot and smooth that the audience had changed state from solid to liquid and lay swirling together in puddles on the floor. Isn't that what you really want when you go out? Also got to enjoy Excalibra, a group I'd never heard, so entertaining, fire balls of fun. They closed with their song about chicken wings called "Wangs." Later I hope to get a chance to read the lyrics and gain more insight into the depth and quality of their enthusiam for them. Have a feeling it will be worth the time it will take away from all the laundry I have to do today. Which is all I'm hoping to do today because I'm a little set back from the delicious and highly alcholic Elderflower Buck I had at Little Giant on Orchard Street. So good... I don't think I've ever had the priviledge of tasting St. Germaine Eldeflower liquer before, and I don't image I'll get another chance for far too long. But, we will have panties soon, very very small tiny panties.
