Just after Dondi walked out into the pen for her Sunday 4:00 show, I heard people behind me comment derisively "Wow, she's so wrinkly." Does Dondi, the painting elephant, need gallons of botox to please today's tough audiences? If an elephant can't be wrinkly, who can? How about plastic surgery or a chemical peel for Dondi? Anyone up for the job?
She painted, briefly, with more diligence than passion. I would describe her hand, I mean trunk, as lyrical.
