Phansi Dolls at ABC

This collection of marionettes, on loan from the Phansi Museum in Durban, South Africa, now hangs at ABC Carpet & Home as part of their month long celebration of "Africa as a nexus point of healing in the effort to transform our world." A percentage of the sale of merchandise goes to support Eve Ensler's V-Day, Grammy Award Winner Angelique Kidjo's Batonga Foundation, and Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Wangari Maathai's The Green Belt Movement. More information on this visionary mix of art, commerce and philanthropy here.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'll admit that I work at ABC as a freelancer. But they didn't put me up to this. I post it because it moves me.
