On the wall of Bene Pizza's dining room there's a Park's Department map of the plan for the new Vanderbilt Park. My favorite parts: the overhead view of the trees, something called a "spinning feature" and something called a"runnel with stone bridges." You have no idea how I have craved this thing they are calling a runnel. Formerly I'd heard it was descibed as a canal, but looks like we're going with runnel. So if not a brook for Brooklyn, at least there will be a runnel.
Kids around here are going to LOVE IT. Thank you tax payers.
