Buddha as Pigeon in Snowstorm

A story to cool you off, or heat you up, especially if you favor squab.

A tale is narrated of the Buddha, who in one of his previous births was a pigeon. He saw a man lose his way during a snowstorm, driven to the point of starvation. The pigeon gathered twigs and leaves, made a fire and threw himself wholeheartedly into it, to become food for the distressed soul.
