Portrait in White Slip

For the longest time my daughter drew only pumpkins, I guess Halloween was a big influence on her. She recently had a breakthrough however, and now I never know what she's going to draw, but I am so glad she enjoys it. Today she drew a fascinating picture of chinchillas carrying large bananas, and this, a painting of yours truly executed in a mixture of white clay in water. I made the slip for another project that didn't work out but it seemed like a very appealing painting medium. I'm glad, and a little surprised, that I appear with a smiling face. And as for arms, well, not having them is a great excuse for being unable to wash the dishes.
